WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested a suspect in a robbery that happened earlier this month at a Wawa in Wilmington.

Police say Diamond Betsill, 32, of Philadelphia, is charged with second degree robbery in connection with a September 5 incident at the Wawa on Rocky Run Parkway.
According to police, Betsill and the victim arrived at the gas station together and a verbal confrontation turned physical. Betsill overpowered the victim and drove off in their vehicle. No injuries were reported. Betsill was arrested September 15 and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond following arraignment.
Delaware State Police had asked the public for help identifying the suspect before the arrest, a reminder of how community tips continue to help close active investigations.
As with any arrest, the charge is an accusation. Betsill is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
DETV News will continue following this story as it moves through the courts.
